West with Wilson,#7 the aftermath of Rita, Oct. 9, 2005

We are now in nice cool but sunny Seattle. We did have a good time at Lake Chalan. We spent several days exploring the mountains and the nice towns around the lake. We went to Leathingworth which is like a German town. It was Octorberfest and from what I could see that means drink lots of dark beer. I had a good time walking around the town and lookiing for German food that might have been left on the sidewalk.

We then drove through the mountains to Seattle and went to dinner Friday night with some of George's nephews and some of his grand nephews and neices. Saturday we went spent with another nephew and his kids. Lots of red headed kids around here.

Bob and Justin left for Phoenix today and I will miss them. They are lots of fun to be around.

I guess we will stay in Seattle for a few more days before we take off for Texas. It takes 4 days to drive to oour home so we need to enjoy the nice weather for awhile.
