West with Wilson, #11,Dallas

Yes, we are spending the night in Big D, Dallas TX. I know what you are thinking. George must have gone nuts. But I have never stayed in Dallas and I wanted to see the big city. I have stayed in Houston,Fort Stockton and Pecos and even Wichita Falls. But never Dallas. And besides George was getting tired after driving 12 hours today.

We left Kansas early this morning and in a driving rainstorm. It rained for 3 or more hours and I mean lightening and heavy rain. I got very nervous and tried to hide or even get in the front seat with George. So we had to slow down. Down to 45 MPH sometimes. That slowed us down so we had to stop and spend the night at-----you guessed it at Motel 6 in Dallas.

In Oklahoma we paid $2.27 for gas. That is down 30 cents in just one day. See it is the GOP telling the Big Oil guys to reduce the price. I just know that is going on.

To night we are watching the Texas , Ohio State game like everyone else in Texas. I expected Vince Young, but now I hear he is playing in the NFL. Texas could use him in the first quarter tonight, but the night is young. I don’t really understand football so I usually sleep during the game, but I do like the food folks prepare for watching the game. I have been a good boy this trip. I only ate a muffin and a hamburger sandwich. I just assumed George left them out for me.

So, we will drive home tomorrow, Sunday and see all our friends at the beach. It is hot here in Dallas. This morning in KS it was 48 degrees so I am having to get use to the hot payment.
