The Gossips think the John Kerry's (insert foot in mouth) joke will cause the Democrats to lose 4 to 10 seats in the Congress and assure that the GOP controls the Senate. It will also assure that he will no longer be a candidate for President in 2008. The joke was a mistake, and not to correct it and apologize immediately was just stupid. To wait 48 hours was just plain dumb. What a funny guy, just cannot even get his own joke right.

And the Gossips think that both Carole Strayhorn and Chris Bell must be moving up. That is all me need. They split the remaining undecided voters and Perry gets elected. And Kinky is doing what fools do; sell off the campaign material to the highest bidder. Now what will he do with those funds, buy more cigars?

Why does the Gossip think they are gaining on the Governor? Because he is running TV spots against both of them so his tracking polls must show some movement. His campaign staff is doing the right thing, keep Rick on the road and stay above the fray. So the Gossips guess we will have a Governor with low approval rating from the voters looking to see if he can find someone to name him their vice president candidate in 2008. A setting Governor getting less then 40% of the vote might not be too attractive.
